Hello & welcome 👋✨ I’m Susan Lachmann, a mixed media artist, lifelong cook, and the creative heart behind Laughing Ones Studios. My work lives at the intersection of art, food, design, and play. I believe ingredients can be materials, kitchens can be studios, and creativity is something we all deserve to explore together. 🍊🎨 Laughing Ones Studios is based at the Fischman Gallery in Johnson City, TN, where I’m cultivating a space for families and adults to slow down, get curious, and make art inside the gallery. This studio is about hands-on exploration and creative joy. There is no pressure here, just expression. Alongside my art practice, I’m also a longtime local cook (some of you may know me from WJHL or Daytime Tri-Cities 👩‍🍳), and food is at the heart of everything I do. That love is now coming to life through food-based art workshops, designed to bring people together around the table and the art-making process. ✨ Coming soon: The Edible Palette A new workshop series exploring the intersection of art & design with food & nutrition.
